Rock & Roll meets Rest & Relaxation

Tucked discreetly behind the vibrant Vintage Rock nightclub, this specialty hotel suite harnesses 1970s rock-and-roll to create an immersive design experience like no other in New Orleans. With an open-design floor concept, this space bleeds musical vibrancy whilst offering a kitchenette, open living and dining area, a platform bed, and a luxe bathing room. Elements of a VIP club lounge meet the comfort of a boutique hotel through multiple zones and a bold use of colors, materials, and patterns. Platform levels, floor-to-ceiling shelving, and material changes within the strategic programmatic zoning allow for visual and functional separation between dining, lounging, and sleeping areas.

Final touches and custom details complete the design. Custom millwork inspire a screen that functions as both visual partition and sculptural element, filtering light and framing views between lounge and sleeping zones while referencing retro geometric motifs. Collaborations with local artisans inspired a mural and the design of a hand-painted VW bus table base designed for the dining room space.

A warm palette of walnut wood, brass, mylar, velvet, and shag carpet grounds the nostalgic mood. Layered wallpapers, gold mylar prints, and vintage murals provide visual richness and era authenticity. A central pinball machine and curated vinyl record station add elements of play for guests to engage with. Ultra-thin TVs and charging ports are discreetly embedded into custom millwork so that the immersion into a bygone era is not interrupted by modern conveniences.
