Dynamic and flexible performance space
What was once a former banquet hall, Studio West was tasked with transforming and revitalizing this dense urban corridor into a high-energy nightlife and event destination. Inspired by the iconic and visual identities of the rock and roll music era, this multi-functional performance and event space lends itself as a transitional public-private venue—welcoming both late-night music lovers as a concert venue and bar space, while also serving as a space to host private events.

The space needed to provide bold visual interiors that allowed for functional transitions and wayfinding for high volumes of people. Situated above an active restaurant and within a hospitality complex, structural and access constraints made vertical circulation, sound isolation, and code compliance key priorities.

An immersive interior experience through lighting and design
Conceptual design drivers aim to welcome and celebrate the spectrum of prominent musical figures, leading to an eclectic mix of saturated lighting and graphic elements - from sleek hardwoods, black and white tiles, iconic album covers and funky lighting—the layered design palette represents talent in diversity - showcasing the coexistence of varying identities and personalities.
