This year’s AIA New Orleans Design Awards marked a meaningful moment for Studio West, with three projects recognized for the different ways they contribute to the cultural and civic life of New Orleans. While each project responds to a unique story, together they reflect a shared belief that architecture is ultimately about people, place, and the relationships built along the way.

Among the recognitions, Second Line in the Sky received the Community Impact Award. What began as a temporary memorial and lighting installation, created through and with the community, has continued to grow into something much larger. Soon to become part of the permanent French Quarter Terrorism Attack Memorial, the project is a reminder of the power of collective healing and what can happen when a community comes together around a shared purpose. This recognition speaks to the project's lasting role as a place of remembrance, resilience, and collective care.

Copper Vine Winepub & Inn received a Commendation for Interior Architecture, recognizing the careful restoration and reimagining of a beloved 1894 New Orleans landmark. The project embraces the building's history while opening a new chapter for hospitality in the city.

And finally, the new and well-loved restaurant, Chada, was honored with an Honor Award for Interior Architecture, celebrating an interior shaped by cultural tradition, craftsmanship, and the creation of a dining experience that, since its opening in January of 2026, has quickly become part of the city's vibrant culinary landscape.
